Hello Stories Creek! I am excited about my move to the creek and look forward to a great year ahead.

Since we will be working closely together, I would love for you all to know a little more about me. I am a Person County native. I attended Appalachian State University as a NC Teaching Fellow and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education. I completed my Masters in School Administration from Western Carolina University in 2014. I taught at North Elementary, served as Lead Teacher at South Elementary, and served as an Assistant Principal at Southern Middle School. Most recently, I have served as Principal at Northern Middle School for the last seven years.

I have been married to Joey for 16 years. We have three boys covering the spans of middle school, elementary, and preschool. Outside of school, I love hiking, traveling, and baking.

Community is very important to me. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to continue the great work of Stories Creek!
