Due to ice-covered secondary roads, tomorrow, Friday, January 30th will be an optional teacher workday for Person County Schools. 

School buildings will open at 10:00 a.m. for staff who choose to report. There will be no classes for students.

To support our families, free take-out lunch will be available for students at Southern Middle School from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.

PCS will operate on an asynchronous remote learning day tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th for all students and staff.

Person County Schools will operate on an asynchronous remote learning day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th for all students and staff.

Students and staff will not report to school buildings. Teachers have provided assignments and materials for students to complete independently. These activities are designed so that internet access is not required and students should use the materials already sent home or previously shared by their teacher.

Students should complete their assigned work according to teacher directions and return it as instructed when school resumes.

Good evening PCS Families and Staff, Based on the latest briefing from the National Weather Service which is calling for the possibliity of flash freezing on bridges, roads, and overpasses, PCS will err on the side of caution and there will be no school for students tomorrow, Tuesday, December 9th. Staff will operate under an Optional Teacher Workday. Please stay safe.
