Kindergarten students participate in Staggered Entry (with the exception of our students assigned to a separate setting EC classroom) the first week of school.

So parents/guardians can plan accordingly, please see below for which staggered entry day your child is assigned to attend. Teacher assignments will be determined after the two staggered entry days and teacher assignments will be communicated during the Meet the Teacher event at 1pm on 8/20.

We will mail letters with the same information the first week of August. If you have not registered your child for Kindergarten and he/she will be starting this Fall, please do so no later than July 25th to guarantee bus transportation.

Parents/Guardians must use their Parent Portal account to register. 👉 Don’t have a Parent Portal account? No worries—you can create one using your child’s Student Number (this is their lunch number that most students know) and their birthdate. 👉 Already have an account but forgot your username or password? Just click “Forgot Username” or “Forgot Password” to reset it. Need extra help? Just give us a call—we’re happy to assist! If we’re not in the office, feel free to email Cindy Solomon at Solomonc@person.k12.nc.us. 🚍 Transportation Reminder: During registration, you’ll be asked whether your child is a bus or car rider. If you select bus rider, be sure to click the link to request transportation—this will take you to a separate Google Form. 🗓️ The deadline to register for guaranteed bus transportation is July 25 – that’s only 9 days away! If you’re not sure whether you submitted the form, just ask—we can check for you. Let’s get registered and ready for a great school year! 🐊🐊🐊

Attention all current PCS Families: Returning student registration for the 2025-2026 school year is now OPEN! Please take a few moments to complete registration to ensure a smooth transition into the new school year. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you would like to have transportation for the first day of school, registration must be completed by July 25th. Bus 69 will be running approximately 30 minutes behind today. Also, students who typically ride bus 69 will be dropped off by bus 50 today.

Thanks to everyone who supported our fundraiser. Mark this on your calendar- donut delivery and pickup will be TOMORROW Friday, May 2nd. Pick up will start right after dismissal and run until 5:30pm. Donuts must be picked up by 5:30pm or they won’t be available for pick-up until Monday (and will have lost their freshness). If you plan to pick up your donuts after dismissal, please follow the car line pattern, pick up your child, then pull back around to the cafeteria to pick up your donuts. There will be someone at the Stories Creek Sign to stop traffic and allow you to turn back left to go park near the cafeteria. Thanks!
