Due to the eclipse, we will not open our fast pass lane for car line today. We will route all cars through the lane closest to the building. This will allow us to have students waiting for their cars with their eye sight shielded from the sun. We will have cones to block off the lane not in use.

Rising 6th Grade Open House and Registration for Northern Middle School: Monday, March 18th at 1:00 to 2:30 pm OR 6:00 -7:30 pm If your child will be attending NMS as a 6th grader next year, you will want to attend! We hope you will join us tonight for STEAM Night (5:30-7:00pm)! Door prizes, Dan the Animal Man, Science Stations, STEAM Fair, and the Book Fair- so MUCH fun! The Book Fair will be open until 6:30pm. Please see the attached pictures for a door prize sneak peak and Dan the Animal Man show schedule. You don't want to miss this evening of fun! Reminders about Donut Pick-Up (TOMORROW) Reminder that Krispy Kreme pick-up is tomorrow (Friday, March 15th). Pick up will start right after bus dismissal and run until 5:30pm. Donuts must be picked up by 5:30pm or they won’t be available for pick-up until Monday (and will have lost their freshness). Important Details about Pick-Up- If your child is a car rider, please first pick them up in car line, then loop back around for the donut pick-up at the cafeteria. PTSO members will be in place to assist. We will not be able to pass out any donuts until all buses have left the parking lot for dismissal.

Krispy Kreme pick up is Friday, March 15th. Pick up will start right after dismissal and run until 5:30pm. Donuts must be picked up by 5:30pm or they won’t be available for pick-up until Monday (and will have lost their freshness). If you plan to pick up your donuts after dismissal, please follow the car line pattern, pick up your child, then pull back around to the cafeteria to pick up your donuts. Thanks!

Northern Middle School Instrumental Music Department Your Child Is Invited To Join The Band! Date: Tuesday, March 12th Time: 6:30 PM Place: Northern Middle School Dear Parent(s): This year's beginning class is now being organized. As the first step, we have met with all eligible students to introduce them to the program. As a result, your child is invited to join the new class. It is hoped that you will allow your child to participate in this unique educational opportunity. Band is a regularly scheduled class in the school day and is free of charge. It does not conflict with extra-curricular activities such as sports. To better acquaint you with the program, and to register all participating students, the above mentioned has been arranged. All interested parents and students are expected to attend . This will allow us to ensure that students will be playing the instrument best suited to them, and that proper instrument balance in the class will be maintained. Since students must furnish their own instrument, arrangements have been made with a reputable, full service music dealer to be present. This company has been recognized as a specialist in the school instrument business for many years, and as a convenience will present a risk free rental-purchase plan for your consideration. Of course, there is no obligation. There is also an option to rent a school owned instrument for the year and if that isn’t affordable the fee could be waived if needed. This plan allows you to rent a good quality instrument for your child to use on a monthly trial basis. Rental payments apply to the purchase if you decide to buy, or the instrument may be returned at any time with no obligation. A rental deposit of $15.00 will cover your first month of rental. Background instruments are slightly higher. Your child’s method book for class is an additional $8.95. In addition, your first month of damage coverage (LDW) is free as well. We hope that you will plan to attend . , So that all students will be ready by the first day of class, please come prepared to make your rental deposit to an instrument for your child to use.
