Person County Schools (PCS) has eight outstanding elementary schools, 2 amazing middle schools, and one virtual school, committed to providing a strong academic foundation for lifelong learning. In addition to the core academic program based on the NC Standard Course of Study (NC SCOS), PCS offers enrichment and intervention programs at each K-8 school to enhance, expand, and strengthen students’ skills. We pride ourselves on being a one-to-one district where every K-8 student has a laptop to enhance skills necessary for success in the 21st Century. The Curriculum Department supports teachers and schools in providing a quality program for every elementary student in Person County Schools. The department helps schools develop a quality curriculum and research-based instructional practices in order to establish a solid educational foundation for every student. We are the proud home of the Person High School Rockets, the Person Early College Mavericks, and the Person County Schools Virtual Academy Fusion.
