Mrs. Lynette McCoy-Williams has been honored with the 2024 Educator of Excellence award by Person County Schools, a prestigious recognition presented at the 73rd North Carolina Conference on Exceptional Children in Greensboro.
Currently serving as a Birth-Kindergarten Teacher at the Developmental Day Center, Early Intervention and Family Services, McCoy-Williams brings over 20 years of dedicated experience working with students with disabilities. Her expertise spans both inclusive prekindergarten and specialized classroom settings.
Known for her innovative approach to early childhood education, McCoy-Williams consistently demonstrates a commitment to helping young learners maximize their potential. Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that every child has the inherent capacity to grow and develop, regardless of individual challenges.

Her approach focuses on creating supportive, adaptive learning environments that help children navigate their early educational experiences.
