PCS is partnering with the Person County Emergency Services in collecting new stuffed animals and new or gently used books to be delivered to children in counties to our west affected by Hurricane Helene.
Donations will be accepted at all schools through Wednesday 10/09.
Additionally, we will be posting upcoming donation events around Roxboro that will be taking place in the next few days. These events will be posted on the PCS Facebook page and website.
Thank you for your support of students in our western counties.

Due to possible hazardous weather and road conditions that may arise due to the approaching hurricane, tomorrow, Friday, September 27th will be a Remote Learning Day for all students and staff. Students should have brought home materials and/or laptops to be able to work on assignments. Additionally, students who attend PCC will need to follow the schedules for classes as communicated.
Please also note that all school daycares will be closed and all after-school activities have been cancelled.
Stay safe and have a good weekend.

PCS Families and Staff,
This is an update to our previous message. Due to road closures because of flooding and other possible hazardous road conditions, Person County Schools will be closed for students today, Wednesday, September 25th. Staff will report on a 2-hour delay. Stay safe and have a great day.

With school starting tomorrow, we wanted to remind you about the school bus stop law. Pay extra attention when you see a bus on the road! Together we can keep our students safe while entering and exiting the bus!

At the PCS Board of Education Meeting this evening, the Board approved a tentative start date of Tuesday, August 27th for the 2024-2025 school year.
This date is for PCS traditional schools and does not include PECIL (start date 08/13) or students who are enrolled in PCC Courses (start date 08/15). Additionally, Directors at Earl Bradsher Preschool and Early Intervention & Family Services will let families know of their start dates.
