2. Tuesday, March 19th--2nd and 3rd Grade Spring Musical SQUIRM @ 1:45pm. Parents are welcome to attend. Students should wear black and white or Spring Colors.
3. Wednesday, March 20th--Huff and Cowan's Classes will go to the Danville Science Center. Students should wear red or a North shirt. They will leave promptly at 8:30am. If you are packing a lunch, please send it in a clear large Ziplock bag. They will return by 2:30pm.
4. Thursday, March 21st--Students who reached their Accelerated Reader goal for the 3rd Nine Weeks will have a fun day at the Warehouse. Mrs. Burton will send home field trip forms.
5. Students are now in the 4th nine weeks! Please contact me or your child's teachers if you have questions or concerns about academic, behavior, or attendance goals.

WEDNESDAY, March 13 is Spring Picture Day. Look your best for your individual picture and class picture! A proof or portrait package will be sent home from the school with information on how to order. You don't have to pay in advance (Allow 3-4 weeks) Choose colors that compliment your child. Solid colors and small patterns work best. Avoid clothing with large images and logos. Prices ranges from $64 to $12.
GRADES 2-5--Parents and Families, We are pleased to share that the students can now use IXL at home for extra practice. Details on how to log in will be in your child's bookbag. IXL is an online learning hub. Students can access the tutorials and continue independent learning at home. Parents can rely on IXL videos as an additional resource for supporting their child. THIS IS NOT FOR A GRADE. Access will allow you to work with your child at home and view Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA tutorials/videos at home. If you have questions/concerns, please contact your child's teacher.

(Optional) North's Black History Month Essay Contest--Open to all Grade Levels--2-3 Winner and a 4-5 Winner--Read Martin Luther King's I Have a Dream Speech. Explain 3 ways that you see evidence that his dream became reality as you look around your school and your community. (Max 500 words) $25 to each winner DUE FEBRUARY 29th.
